What is Microblading?

Microb lading (Also known as Feather strokes) is a technique using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles that fills in the eyebrow areas in fine, short strokes resembling hair. The color effect will fade over time, so touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the desired look. Microblading is not suitable for all skin types, especially oily skin & sensetive skin. Microblading on oily skin requires several touch-ups, which causes more trauma to the skin. Usually, they last up to 1-2 years Still, it depends on the client’s lifestyle and many other factors. This will be discussed in consultation where we will explain why, and what other options can be considered if not just microblading.

Microblading Pricing:

Initial appointment $299  |  Touch Up Appointment $149

A touchup is only needed if brows don’t heal perfectly or if you decide to make your brows darker. Touchups must only be between 7-8 weeks after your initial appointment.

Nano Hairstrokes

What are Nano Hairstrokes?

Nano brows are done with a PMU machine. They provide a fluffier, more natural look. Nano brows are more resilient on oilier skin and large pores because the strokes are less likely to blur. Nano brows can last longer than microblading. The PMU machine features an extremely fine needle which pierces the skin, depositing pigments in tiny dots that add up to strokes. The needle is very thin and enters the skin at a 90- degree angle, so it causes very little trauma to the skin.

Nano Hair strokes Pricing:

Initial appointment $399  |   Touch Up Appointment $199

Ombre (also known as powder, mist, micro shading, Ombre shading, or stardust brows) is a semi-permanent powdered brow which is an advanced technique for clients who prefer fuller results than hair strokes but still very soft. Ombré powder brows are great for any skin type, unlike microblading, which is not suitable for those with oily skin. Ombre brows last longer than micro bladed brows, usually up to 3-4 years. Combination brows

What are Combination brows?

Combination brows are a combination of two techniques – hair strokes and shading. It is good to know that hair strokes are usually done only in the front part of the brow, i.e. the head, and the tail of the brow is shaded. Hair strokes are usually created with microblading i.e. a manual tool, but they can also be made with a machine – machine strokes or nano strokes.

Combo Brows are great for clients with normal to moderately oily skin. So if your skin is too oily for microblading alone, combo brows might be a viable alternative.

For someone with very sparse brows, the shading can give the brow more body, while the hair-strokes keep it looking natural.

Combo brows last longer than micro bladed brows, usually up to 3-4 years. Sometimes, front strokes get faded earlier than the rest of the area. Still, it depends on the client’s lifestyle and many other factors.

Combination brows Pricing:

Initial appointment $549  |   Touch Up Appointment $249

A touchup is only needed if brows don’t heal perfectly or if you decide to make your brows darker. Touchups must only be between 7-8 weeks after your initial appointment.

Healing Process & Aftercare Instructions For Brows

What to Expect:

The treated area will be slightly red after the procedure and color will appear very dark. Over the next few days after the procedure, your cosmetic tattooing area may darken during the healing process. This is normal and this is not the way they will remain. This is very common for the procedure and part of the healing process.

In the following days, the treated area will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing and color shades.Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and outcome of the procedure.

Your recovery will take approximately 7-10 days for the area to heal and about one month for the color to fully set in. You will see the color is very light or sometimes it seems that they have disappeared. THIS IS NORMAL!

After the two weeks after the healing; the skin will have an opaque, milky looking quality to it. This is known as the milk skin and is common in tattooing. This is due to tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healed. Once you go through a skin cycle (4-6 weeks) the pigment will typically reappear but will be about 30-50% lighter than it was immediately after the procedure. True color will reveal itself once fully healed. Also, the
size of brows also reduce by 1-2mm.

It is important to follow all aftercare instructions including the use of aftercare cream and any other post-procedure instructions. Also, please note the total duration of this time as the results of the healing process will adapt accordingly to the conditions of your lifestyle.

ALLERGIC REACTION OR INFECTION: It is rare, but there is a chance of allergic reaction or infection. If there are any types of irritation, rash, or bumps. Please, Stop using the ointment. You might be allergic or using too much of the ointment. At any time, you are uncomfortable please visit your physician.

AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Why is aftercare so important?

Aftercare is how you take care of the tattoo afterwards to ensure your fresh cosmetic tattoo heals well and to avoid infection.

Please follow these instructions for 10 days after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of your procedure.

Avoid getting anything on the treated area , including water, except for cleansing as directed. Cleansing: For the first day after your procedure, 2-3 hours, wash lightly with slightly damp Q-tips or Cotton pad with DABBING motions using a pea sized amount of gentle cleaner. I recommend using Cetaphil, QV, Dermaveen or baby shampoo (available at any supermarket or pharmacy).

Apply a rice grain-sized amount of the provided ointment to each brow . Never apply ointment to damp skin and don’t suffocate them by applying too much ointment Repeat this washing, very gently every morning and night. When washing, it should be very gentle with a tapping motion, no rubbing.

What Not To Do During This Time:

  • No other products should touch the brows during healing, other than the Dial soap and the after care balm. No threading or waxing during the healing process.
  • For the first 2 weeks, keep your face out of the water and don’t let your showers get too steamy. Make sure not to get any other products on your face.
  • Avoid using daily skincare products directly on the eyebrows.
  • Do not pick or rub the treated area. The scabs/flakes must fall off on their own or you will risk removing the color and possibly scarring.
  • Do not soak the treated area in the bath, pool or hot tub. For 30 days, refrain from swimming in salt water or chlorinated pools, saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms or sun beds.
  • No exercise for 14 days and After 14 days, when exercising, wear a sweatband to avoid sweat on the brow area.
  • Do not expose the treated area to direct sunlight. After heals (30 days), use sunscreen to avoid fading from the sun.
  • No touching unless you have washed your hands thoroughly and keep the area clean to avoid infection.
  • If skin becomes itchy, apply ointment to the spot using a cotton tip.
  • Do not apply any active cosmetics to your face such as AHA’s, Retinol or acids for 4 weeks after treatment.
  • Do not have any skin treatments for 4 weeks because your skin is still healing.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will I need a touchup?

The body registers the pigment as a foreign body that must be removed and during the healing process it works hard to remove the pigment, pushing it to the surface of the skin.

Much of the pigment is naturally sloughed off during the healing process following the initial procedure, and can sometimes cause patchy and lighter than desired results.

The touchup appointment imparts more pigment to the site, and reinforces shape and precision.

Yes, You can use Afterpay in store. It’s the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their Afterpay accounts are active and functional before their appointment.

Scabbing is simply a normal part of the healing process.

Microblading requires artists to make a small cut into the skin to the level of the dermal epi-dermal junction. This is the perfect place to set the pigment for lasting results, but also not deep enough to cause scarring or a permanent tattoo. Remember PMU always heal 50-70% lighter than the initial session. In some cases more than that.

Depending on the chosen density of your brows, your skin type, cosmetics used and your lifestyle, Brow pigment will generally last between 3-5 years, sometimes more.

During this time however, they will fade and many clients choose to replace the pigment loss and keep their brows tints looking fresh with Refresh Appointments.

Your natural eyebrow hair will still continue to grow after you get an eyebrow tattoo. Although you will no longer have to tint or Henna your brows, or fill them in with makeup, you will still need to remove any unwanted hair growth.

Permanent makeup can be applied to gray hair, particularly for eyebrows, but it will not alter the natural color of the hair. Instead, the procedure involves using pigments that can complement or enhance the appearance of gray hair, providing definition and shape without changing the underlying color. It’s important to choose shades that harmonize with the gray to achieve a natural look, as the goal is to enhance rather than mask the existing hair color.

The healing process generally takes 25 to 30 days. It starts right after your procedure. However, how fast your skin heals will be slightly different for each person. It depends on many factors, including your: age, overall health, skin type. In general, during the first 10 to 14 days, your eyebrows will vary in appearance. The color, definition, and texture will change almost every day. Client experience different sensations in skin. At first, your face will feel tender, tight. This will turn into itchiness and flaking, which eventually subsides.

Results can last anywhere between 18 and 30 months. How long the procedure lasts depends on your skin type and preferences of technique, color. Some skin takes to the pigment better, which is why the length in between procedures varies so widely.

The pigments used in PMU fades over time. Touch-ups can help with maintenance, though you may choose to wait until the pigment has almost completely faded and opt for the procedure all over again. This is a more expensive option than regular touch-ups where color is filled in as it fades.
